Bijilo Forest Park, affectionately known as the ‘Monkey Park,’ is a refreshing coastal woodland that offers a peaceful escape from the nearby bustling beaches. As you walk along the shaded nature trails, you are almost certain to be greeted by troops of inquisitive green monkeys and rare red colobus monkeys swinging through the branches. The park is a vital green lung for the area, protecting a variety of indigenous trees and providing a sanctuary for numerous bird and lizard species. The trails eventually lead to the edge of the Atlantic, where the sound of the forest blends with the crashing of the waves. It is a perfect spot for a gentle afternoon walk, offering a fun and interactive experience with the local wildlife in a beautiful natural setting.
