- National Park / Waterfall
<At Murchison Falls, the wide and powerful Victoria Nile is dramatically forced through a narrow seven-meter gap in the rocks, creating a thunderous explosion of water. The sheer force of the falls sends a constant spray into the air, creating permanent rainbows that dance above the churning white foam below. Below the falls, the river calms into a peaceful waterway teeming with hippos, massive Nile crocodiles, and thirsty elephants that congregate along the banks. Boat safaris to the base of the falls offer a perspective on the raw power of the water that is both terrifying and beautiful. The surrounding parkland is a mosaic of savannah and woodland, providing a home to diverse wildlife and some of the best game viewing in Uganda.
